Who We Are
TheFieldOpsGuide ("we", "us", "our") operates thefieldopsguide.com, an independent review and comparison site for field service management software. This privacy policy explains how we handle visitor data.
What Data We Collect
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not store personally identifiable information, and does not share data with third parties. We collect aggregated, anonymized page view counts and referrer data to understand which content is most useful. We do not set tracking cookies, run retargeting pixels, or collect email addresses unless you contact us directly. If you use our contact form (when active), the data you submit is sent directly to our email provider and stored only as long as needed to respond.
Affiliate Links
When you click a vendor link on our site marked with 'nofollow' or labeled as affiliate, you may be redirected to a vendor's site through an affiliate tracking system. The vendor's privacy policy applies from that point. We do not receive personally identifiable information from vendors about users who click our links — only aggregate conversion data.
Third-Party Services
We use Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) for typography. Google may log font requests at the network level. We do not use Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, or other advertising trackers. We use Cloudflare as our hosting and CDN provider. Cloudflare processes network-level data (IP addresses, request headers) as part of its infrastructure function per its own privacy policy.
Cookies
We do not set first-party cookies. Cloudflare may set technical cookies required for its services (e.g. __cf_bm for bot protection). These are essential infrastructure cookies and cannot be disabled without impacting site function.
Your Rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we collect minimal data and no personally identifiable information through standard site visits, most GDPR requests are satisfied by the fact that we don't have identifiable data to share. We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
